Location: Located in the scenic and secure Whitechurch area of Dublin 16, St. Columba’s College provides an exceptional setting with state-of-the-art facilities — including a swimming pool, modern classrooms and extensive sports amenities.
Arrivals and departures: Dublin Airport is around a 30-minute taxi or 70-minute journey via public transport from the school.
Course selection: These junior summer programmes are inclusive of tuition, accommodation (full-board), activities and excursions.
Each programme includes 15 hours of English tuition per week, which can be requested as General English or Exam Preparation for the PET or FCE Cambridge exams.
Social and cultural:These junior programmes are full of regular activities and several excursions.
Afternoon and evening activities may include quiz nights, Irish Dancing, Irish Music workshops, sports, movie nights, and more. Digital Media workshops where students learn to create podcasts, e-portfolios, blogs and online newsletters are also available during the Project Focus.
Excursions can include trips to Dublin city centre, Glendalough visitor centre, Marley Park and more.
Accommodation: Accommodation within the full summer programmes can be in homestay with local families or in residence. En-suite bathroom options may be available within the residence. Additional costs apply.
School chain: International House Dublin offers English lessons to both adults and children in and around Dublin. Established in 1998, these schools have a wealth of experience in providing students with an immersive educational experience. An official CELTA exam centre and all their teachers are CELTA certified. The schools are accredited with EAQUALS, ACELS and the IH World network.

Designed for students aged 9 to 17, this up to 4-week residential and homestay programme offers the perfect combination of expert English language instruction and an exciting schedule of activities, sports, and excursions. It’s an immersive educational experience focused on developing oral communication in English through interactive, real-life use of the language.
Located in the scenic and secure Whitechurch area of Dublin 16, St. Columba’s College provides an exceptional setting with state-of-the-art facilities — including a swimming pool, modern classrooms and extensive sports amenities. We offer residential ensuite accommodation in rooms of 4 to 6 beds, as well as residence options in dormitory-style rooms with access to shared bathroom facilities. For students who prefer a more immersive cultural experience, our carefully selected network of host families is also available through our homestay programme.
