Location: ATC Language Schools Summer Centre at Blackrock College overlooks Dublin Bay, in the coastal town of Blackrock, Dublin County, south east of the capital city. Blackrock is popular as a commercial centre, well known for its shops, cafés and its market, held on weekends and bank holidays. Blackrock has a stop on the Dublin Area Rapid Transit train line allowing for travel to the city centre in 15 minutes. A secondary level boarding and day school, Blackrock College has a picturesque 56 acre campus of green lawns, school buildings and facilities.
Second Campus: ATC Language Schools have been running their residential Summer Centre at the college for more than 35 years. High demand for the programme has led them to incorporate a second campus at Carysfort College, a 15-minute walk away. During the school year, Carysfort College is home to the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business, part of University College Dublin. The English lessons and activities for students residing at Carysfort are held at Blackrock College.
Junior Programmes with STEAM: Both programmes for ATC Language Schools Summer Centre Blackrock include STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) lessons, in English, in addition to the hours of General English. On-campus accommodation is available for both locations and the programme at Blackrock College also offers the option of homestay accommodation.
Activities: Students on the programmes at Blackrock participate in sports on campus, full-day and half-day excursions, themed workshops such as Photography and Vlogging, and an evening activity programme.
