Location: The school is located in a rural part of Cambridge, to the south west of the city centre. It is situated among University Cambridge Campuses including Wolfson College and St Catharine's College Sports Grounds. The neighbourhood is known as Newnham.
Getting around: There are lots of bus stops around the neighbourhood that reach different parts of central Cambridge. The bus ride takes less than 10 minutes, and it is a pleasant half an hour stroll. Cambridge’s central train station is to the south of the city. From the school, this trip can take between 20 to 30 minutes depending on the time of day and route chosen.
Things to do in Cambridge: Cambridge city centre is lively with shops, restaurants, museums, parks and bars. The Botanical Gardens of Cambridge and Scott Polar Research Institute are other interesting places to visit in Cambridge. These are close by to each other and under 30 minutes from the school entrance.
Course structure: General English courses and long term semester and year programmes are bookable at Kaplan International Languages in Cambridge. There are exam preparation courses for the Cambridge and IELTS exams. The school also has a business programme.
Facilities at the school: The school building has a cafeteria, large garden and study centre. Wifi is free and available throughout the school. All classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards.
Long term students: For students who are taking the academic year or semester course, the school offers a free bike hike for the duration of your course, to explore all the nooks and crannies of the city. This is also a quick and easy way to get to and from the school.
