What we like about the school
- Private garden and courtyard with foosball and ping pong tables.
- Daily bike hire offered exclusively for EF students.
- Public transportation stops right outside the school.
What we dislike about the school
- Older students should consider that the average age of students at the school is significantly younger than at most other schools.
- A 40 minute lesson duration is a bit shorter than normal.
Location: EF International Language Center Cambridge is located in the famous university city of Cambridge, in eastern England. Home to some of the world's most prestigious universities and colleges, Cambridge is essentially extremely student-friendly, offering much history and comforts, making sure that students feel welcome and galvanised during their time studying in the city. EF Cambridge is housed within a fantastic renovated Victorian building, a stone's throw from many shops, gastro-pubs, restaurants and further attractions of the city. With its very own private garden, students are sure to feel at home whilst reaching their language goals with EF Cambridge. In addition to the multiple museums and trips around academic institutes, Cambridge also has a wonderful Botanic Garden which is only a short 15-minute walk from the school's front doors.
School facilities: The facilities of the school are excellent, offering everything a student may need to reach their language goals in a comfortable and motivating environment. These facilities include a cafeteria, a computer lab, a lounge area, a games room and a garden. All classrooms are equipped with air conditioning, heating and ample natural light to create an optimal learning environment.
Course selection: EF Cambridge is open to students of all levels and ages at various times throughout the year. For adults, several programmes take place the whole year round, whilst junior immersive or day programmes are available through the summer months.
School chain: EF was founded in Sweden over 55 years ago. - Generally, course material has to be purchased by all students at the school. The costs of course material will be approximately €45 per course level.
- Comments about courses
The cost of course materials vary depending on the duration of the course:
- 1-6 weeks: EUR 45,
- 7-12 weeks: EUR 80,
- 13-18 weeks: EUR 120,
- 19-24 weeks: EUR 160,
- 25-30 weeks: EUR 200,
- 31-36 weeks: EUR 240.
Cancellation Protection fee: EUR 85 (Non-refundable).
Students must book a travel insurance, which covers the whole period of the course and stay in Cambridge. Students can book Erika Insurance Coverage via the school: - Two weeks: EUR 85.
- Per additional extra week: EUR 40.
Students can have another insurance but they must prove they have booked another one.
Accommodation Supplements: - Residence accommodation is also available upon request and subject to availability.
- Homestays are no further than 45 minutes by public transportation from school.
Classes are likely to take place on some days in the morning and other days in the afternoon. Students will be given the exact timetable closer to the start date. These are sample times and lessons will fall within the time frames stated depending on availability and time of year.

- Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 120 €. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.

Visa Documents
Nationals from USA do not require a visa to study short term courses up to 180 days. A valid passport and an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is required to enter the UK. The application for the ETA is done online https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta. The answer is expected within 3 working days, costing GBP 20. The ETA allows multiple entries in the country for up to 6 months for a maximum of 2 years or until the passport used when applying expires.
