What our students said about Palermo (Sicily)

I have travelled to Italy many times, but this was my first extended stay, and Palermo quickly became one of my favourite cities. Although several people warned me beforehand that Sicily was dangerous because of its Mafia image, I didn't feel that way at all. In fact, Rome or Milan felt much more dangerous to me. The cost of living is lower compared to other major Italian cities, the food is delicious, and there are many places to visit. My only complaint was that there was a nightclub near my hotel, and it was loud every night until after 2 a.m. I heard similar stories from other students about noisy streets and difficulty sleeping at night. I would advise future students to be very careful when selecting their hotel or accommodation.

4.0Masaharu Japan

Palermo is a beautiful vibrant city full of interesting things to do. It is dirty and streets are full of garbage - but it is also a city with great weather, super friendly people, great food and tons of interesting things to see and do especially if you are an art lover. The city is SAFE and inhabitants are friendly and super helpful.

4.0Gordana Croatia

Busy, crowded, very much litter all over the place, traffic very busy and noisy, sometimes dangerous. But in the small street often much calmer. Interesting places, palaces and piazzas. Food is often very delicious with fresh ingredients. People are very nice and helpful.

5.0Anna Sweden

Very lively, but that also means noisy and dirty. A vast number of sights, also in the surrounding area, diverse history, very well organised transport system between the cities (Palermo can usually be explored on foot), best pastry shops in the world!

4.0Elena Italy

Great city, there is so much to discover. An exciting mix of dilapidated and restored. And when restored, without being too polished and replaceable. Great graffiti, wonderful theatre, exuberant markets

5.0Katharina Germany

A great city that has plenty to offer young people and features wonderful cultural and historical landmarks for older visitors. I highly recommend it to everyone.

4.0Daniela Switzerland

I found Palermo extremely great and exciting. I really liked the city. The streets and alleyways are full of life. As a woman alone, I felt very safe.

5.0Brigitte Switzerland

Palermo lived up to my expectations, as a city with a lot of history, culture, tourist attractions, and a pleasant place to live.

4.0Cleonice Brazil

A stay for 3 days is enough. Tourists are often " tricked ". The beach - even Mondelo - is not really beautiful.

4.0Klaus-Peter Germany

Offers many possibilities for free time activities. However, also very dirty, especially a lot of dog excrement.

My goal was neither grammatical exercises nor exams. My goal was to communicate with Italian-speaking people. This school helped me tremendously in this regard. Exactly what I was looking for!

Reception and getting to know each other on the first day, another placement test, participants tended to be adults, shared room, city tour and especially great - the cookery course!!! (Even though I'm cooking a lot at the moment), very friendly staff.
Vittoria knows Palermo very well and can tell you a lot about it.

The evaluations by students after they complete a course is excellent. The discount for using your website is also a great incentive. It also would be wonderful if the website would include more cities and a bigger selection of schools in each city.

The service of languagecourse.net is great, I booked already 3 schools and I can highly recommend it. In fact, I tell everybody I meet on my journey in South America about this website and how well everything is organized.
Gabriele Ragger verified client
I am very satisfied. I found more/relevant information on your webpage than on the school's website itself. It is the cheapest offer. I'm going to book my next course on your site soon.
Attila Vertesi verified client

Your service was excellent, really following up and holding my hand.! My older step-brother used your service a few years ago to study Spanish in Salamanca and Granada and we found LanguageCourse.Net so helpful then as well.

Just keep up the good work. The organization is excellent, so that even less experienced travellers would feel ok to come to China. I also felt really good in the host family, they were really great!
