What our students said about Reggio Emilia
I loved Reggio Emilia. The best thing is that there aren’t any tourists and the locals (maybe for that reason) don’t speak much English, which makes the city a perfect destinations for Italian language students who want to make the most of their stay learning Italian.
We were only at school and then spent about 2 hours travelling around the city. That's why we can't say too much about many things. But I think 1 piece of cake for 8 euros (which is supposed to be normal) is too expensive - even by Munich standards.
Without being a city with an old historic center like so many other cities in Italy, it is welcoming and very clean.
It is easy to visit other interesting cities by train. There is a lovely outside market in the city.
I liked it very much for its tranquility and public events to enjoy.

It is small enough to get around on foot, but it has all the facilities of a city. It is the ideal location for a genuine immersion in the Italian life outside the world of tourism.
