What we like about the school

- Older students should consider that the average age of students at the school is significantly younger than at most other schools.
Location: Oxford International Education Junior Centre in Brighton is located at Norfolk Square less than a 5 minute walk away from Oxford International’s other school in the city. A couple blocks past Norfolk Square, students are already at the seaside, by the Brighton Beach Bandstand. On their way, they can say hello to the statue of Dr. Seuss’ Lorax who resides in the square. Brighton is an eclectic and exciting city known for its diversity and its varied arts and culture agenda.
Summer Camp: Oxford International Education Junior Centre offers a summer English camp for teens aged 12 through 17 which includes a varied activities programme and accommodation with a local family. The English classes alternate between mornings and afternoons each week while activities and local outings fill the other half of the day. Students have breakfast and evening meals with their host family who also provide them with a packed lunch every day. The programme also includes one full-day excursion to a nearby city or attraction such as a day in London or Arundel.
Accommodation: Many of the host families who work with Oxford International Education Junior Centre have done so for several years. They provide shared rooms for 2 to 3 students of the same gender, a shared bathroom and a full meal plan.
Getting there: The best international airport for arrival at Brighton is London Gatwick (LGW) which is about 40 minutes away by car or just under an hour by rail, directly from the airport. London Heathrow (LHR) is an hour and forty-five minutes away by car.

Visa Documents
Nationals from USA do not require a visa to study short term courses up to 180 days. A valid passport and an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is required to enter the UK. The application for the ETA is done online https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta. The answer is expected within 3 working days, costing GBP 20. The ETA allows multiple entries in the country for up to 6 months for a maximum of 2 years or until the passport used when applying expires.
