The school is housed at St. Joseph’s Hall, a charming, red brick building dating back to Victorian times, on a quiet, residential street.
Courses: Kings - St. Josephs is home to their Summer Academy for students considering a life in the fields of STEM, Medicine, or Business and Economics. In the Summer Academy students focus on one of those subjects and study both that subject and English. Throughout the year, students following Kings Oxford’s Academic Preparation Programmes and their International High School Year Programmes are also based at Kings - St. Josephs.
Accommodation: Year-round students studying at Kings - St. Josephs can choose from among several options for accommodation: home-stay; residences; and student houses. Students attending the Summer Academy are housed in residence with full board.
Getting around: Cowley is well connected to the rest of Oxford by public transportation, and a trip to the city centre by bus generally takes about half an hour. Travel time to the school from the Oxford Railway station is 15 minutes by car. Students arriving from abroad should consider arriving at London Heathrow Airport (LHR) which is the closest to Oxford of the London airports and has direct connections by coach to Oxford.
School chain: Kings was founded in 1957 and has a number of well established English language schools in both the UK and USA. They understand that learning English is a journey, and that students’ needs change as their language studies progress. Each school provides a range of courses to cater for these requirements, ranging from exam courses, academic programmes, and diplomas to courses for specific fields of study such as business. Kings has partnered with academic establishments worldwide to help students transition into furthering their education at a university in either the UK or the US. Kings Young Learners provides highly successful English language summer, holiday and year long programmes for children and teens from ages 8 through 17.
