Location: Manchester is two and a half hours on the train from London, to the North of England, and is the home of Express English College.
Getting around: The school is on Princess Road, a busy street with regular transport connections to the centre of this great city, and there is a popular bus stop situated right outside the school’s front door.
Attractions in the city: One of the most notorious things about Manchester is Old Trafford, the largest football stadium in the United Kingdom, which is 30 minutes by public transport from the school. Manchester has a lively nightlife, filled with students and locals, with a number of clubs and festivals to help you relax after a long week of study.
School facilities: Express English college has a modern decor with a library, cafeteria, movie room, computer room and a garden, all usable throughout the day for students.
Course structure: The school has a selection of notable courses such as a business course, which focuses on the language used in a business environment and both a part time and full-time IELTS exam preparation course for those wanting to prepare for the exam.
Social experience: The school is big on quality and dedicates its time to ensuring that students reach their full potential during their stay at Express English College. Along with excellent teaching methodology and in class facilities there are also social activities that students can join outside the classroom to practise their English. A lunch club, conversation club and film club are all in-house activities that students can join on a daily basis to meet like minded people. Trips are also organised within the school and are either free or for a small fee so that you can explore all that this wonderful northern city has to offer.

"Unfortunately, accommodation with Mrs. was quite a traumatic experience for me. Terrible atmosphere. I felt like an intruder in Mrs. house. There was often no breakfast. I bought my own bread and marmalade - and these were my breakfasts. Dinners were meatless (e.g. pasta + cheese or ... sandwiches), because Mrs. was a vegetarian. I could only use the designated plate. There was no daily, hour-long conversation. I honestly hate this house. Definitely an unfriendly place!
