Location: The school is only 15 minutes from the town centre and beach. It is in the neighbourhood known as Westbourne, to the west of the city. The impressive building is located in an affluent residential area surrounded by convenient stores and restaurants for students.
Getting around: There are regular buses that run to the centre of the city, two minutes from the school entrance. Alternatively, students can choose to walk to the core of Bournemouth in 25 minutes. One route runs past the Bournemouth Upper Gardens, which although takes a little longer, is a more scenic choice.
Main attractions: Whilst the city itself is busy and has a very active social scene, the beach is the main appeal of Bournemouth, both for people visiting as well as locals. From Kaplan’s Bournemouth school, students can arrive at the beach in 20 minutes by bus to the more popular part of the strip with the pier amusements. There is a long stretch of sand with buses stretching all the way along the coast from the school.
Courses: English lessons can be taught as general courses, exam preparation classes for Cambridge exams and the IELTS exam and for long durational programmes. There is an option to add a business supplementary course to your English package.
School facilities: The school is in the tallest building in Bournemouth. It has modern classrooms, a computer lab, a large garden, common areas and a study room.
