What we dislike about the school
- Older students should consider that the average age of students at the school is significantly younger than at most other schools.
Venue: Tokyo is a bustling metropolis famous for its technological innovation, its skyscrapers covered in lights and video publicity, its unique pop culture and its blend of the ultramodern with tradition. Immerse Education’s Tokyo Summer School offers teens from around the world the opportunity to immerse themselves in Japanese culture while having access to industry found nowhere else. Studying in Japan not only opens a door on a different culture, it can also open doors to future careers.
Career Insights: Immerse Education’s Career Insights programmes include thirty hours of tuition from industry experts alongside field-based industry visits for an engaging, experiential learning situation. Through participation in these pathway programmes, students will develop critical skills required for their chosen field.
Fields of Study: Immerse Education’s Tokyo Summer School offers Career Insights programmes for the following fields of study: Business Management; Engineering; Film & Animation; and Global Society & Sustainability.
Experience: Students on the programmes at the Tokyo Summer School stay in residence style accommodation typical to Tokyo University students where they can experience what it means to live in this vibrant and energetic city. In addition to their field related visits, students also visit iconic landmarks, the city’s traditional neighbourhoods and sample traditional cuisine.
Of Note: It is not a requirement to speak Japanese to attend these programmes. All classes and activities are in English.
A global project: Based in the United Kingdom, over the years Immerse Education has grown on a global scale and now runs similar summer programmes in several countries around the globe, in North America, Oceania and Asia, as well as in the UK.
