Venue: ELS Cincinnati is located on the urban campus of the University of Cincinnati, where students can experience the life of an American university student first-hand. Cincinnati is the third largest city in the state of Ohio, in the American Midwest. Known as a student-friendly city, Cincinnati has a thriving music scene and nightlife. The university campus is located just north of the downtown in a neighbourhood where much of the land is occupied by the campuses of the University of Cincinnati and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. It is also quite close to the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden.

The school: ELS Language Centres place a lot of emphasis on student integration and feeling at ease communicating with native speakers. Being located on campus and having access to the campus facilities, students are in constant contact with local students, and ELS also organises activities and projects fomenting these interactions. Students at the centre also have the advantage of qualifying for conditional admission to the university thanks to an agreement which certifies their language proficiency.

Getting around: The public transportation system in Cincinnati consists of a network of buses which cover both the city proper and its surrounding areas. Many residents of the city however prefer to travel by car. The closest international airport to Cincinnati is Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) located less than 20 miles away, across the Ohio River, in the state of Kentucky. Travel time is approximately 25 minutes, or more, depending on the traffic.
