Venue: ELS Nashville is affiliated with Middle Tennessee State University located in Murfreesboro, a large suburb of Nashville. MTSU is best known for its Aerospace, Business, and Recording Industry programmes. Murfreesboro is a safe city, it has the feel of a small, college town, and has the advantage of being located next to Nashville, America’s Music City. Perhaps best known outside of the United States for its country music scene, Nashville has a massive student population of over 40,000 and is home to Vanderbilt University and many other universities and colleges. The city of Nashville also has a full-scale replica of the Parthenon of Athens.
Pathways: ELS Language Centre Nashville not only offers students the opportunity to experience life on a typical university campus while working towards a higher, more fluid, level of English, it also has an agreement with MTSU to certify their English level for conditional admission. For students who consider furthering their studies in the U.S., ELS also has similar agreements with other universities and colleges in the area.
Programmes: ELS Nashville offers General English courses, Business English and an English programme for students who would like to have more time to discover the area. Students who are interested in certifying their English proficiency for future studies should enroll in the Intensive English programme.
Getting there: The closest major airport in the area is Nashville International Airport (BNA) located 32 miles from Murfreesboro. Travel time to the school is approximately 40 minutes by car.
