Location: EF International Language Center Toronto is located in the friendly and culturally rich city of Toronto, Canada. EF Toronto is housed in a modern campus right in the heart of the trendy Queen West District, surrounded by cafés, restaurants, shops, galleries and theatres. With attractions such as the CN Tower, Casa Loma, The Art Gallery of Ontario and much more, all within a 30-minute journey of the school's front doors, students of EF Toronto are sure to create many memorable moments whilst reaching their language goals. The school is within a 45-minute journey of the Toronto Pearson International Airport via public transport.

School facilities: The facilities of EF Toronto are excellent, offering everything a student may need to have a great time learning in the city. These facilities include a cafeteria, a computer lab, a lounge area, a games room and free WIFI. All classrooms are equipped with air conditioning, heating and ample natural light to create an optimal learning environment.

Course selection: Course selection is varied, offering something to students of all levels. General English courses are available via several schedules and intensities, whilst the school also provides business and exam preparation courses throughout the year.

Toronto’s EF location is located right in the middle of the popular Queen West shopping district, where you’ll find plenty of live music venues and stylish cafes to enjoy whenever you’re not busy levelling up your language skills in their General English class. You’ll have 26 classes per week, lasting 40 minutes each - ideal for learning and practising a new concept without taking too long.

After enrolling, you will be asked to complete an online placement course, which is designed to help EF place you in a group that will challenge you but also not make you feel overwhelmed. Prospective students can start on almost any Monday of the year, for a minimum commitment of 2 weeks.

Four of your classes are called Special Interest Lessons, and they allow you to decide which subject and language points you would like to explore. This might come in handy for those who have a particularly important event coming up, such as a Cambridge exam or a job interview.

Activities are also organised by the school (such as the obligatory visit to Niagara Falls!), which are a great way to connect with your group more, and an opportunity to use your improving English skills in a real and a fun scenario.

Generally, course material has to be purchased by all students at the school. The costs of course material will be approximately €45 per course level.
Comments about courses

The cost of course materials vary depending on the duration of the course:

  • 1-6 weeks: EUR 45,
  • 7-12 weeks: EUR 80,
  • 13-18 weeks: EUR 120,
  • 19-24 weeks: EUR 160,
  • 25-30 weeks: EUR 200,
  • 31-36 weeks: EUR 240.

    Cancellation Protection fee: EUR 85 (Non-refundable).

    Students must book travel insurance, which covers the whole period of the course and stay in Toronto. Students can book Erika Insurance Coverage via the school:
  • Two weeks: EUR 85.
  • Per additional extra week: EUR 40.
    Students can have another insurance but they must prove they have booked another one.

    Accommodation:
  • The twin room homestay included in the tuition price can be upgraded to a single room homestay for EUR 55 per week.
  • Homestays are no further than 45 minutes by public transportation from school.
  • Residence accommodation is also available upon request and subject to availability.

    Special dietary requirements will cost EUR 50 per week.
    Classes are likely to take place on some days in the morning and other days in the afternoon. Students will be given the exact timetable closer to the start date. These are sample times and lessons will fall within the time frames stated depending on availability and time of year.
Individual classes
Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 120 €. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.
