Tinos is an island with a lot to see and with hiking trails that allow you to explore the island. Plenty of villages to visit, with all the beauty of the Cyclades. Beautiful beaches, but sometimes difficult to access. The wind can be a real nuisance on certain days. Plenty of choice of tavernas and restaurants serving typical Cycladic dishes.
Tinos is a fantastic walking island. There are beautiful fortified villages to discover. With a rental car it was a pleasure to drive around. There are also beautiful beaches. The town of Tinos, where the school is located, is not large and has many nice eateries.
Tinos Town is a very lively small town with great tavernas and extremely friendly and helpful people. It also has great hiking routes for those who want to get away from the over-tourism that is sometimes very unpleasant on the neighboring island of Mykonos.
Tinos is a small town medium sized town and harbour in a beautiful location in the Aegean. It has everything a visiting student could need - beaches, restaurants an interesting hinterland and lots to do outside of class time.
I liked it very much. It is a quiet island with little tourism, which is also Greek. Its tranquility is its greatest charm, along with its picturesque villages.
A great destination. Well worth a visit. Pretty villages, beautiful beaches. Only the wind can be too much at times. The locals are very friendly and helpful.
Its tourism is internal and has a lot of life. On the island there are very picturesque villages and a good bus and ferry service.
Really beautiful, lots of taverns, an impressive monastery, a relaxed atmosphere, and not yet overcrowded
In itself a nice place, but best to rent a car if you want to explore the island by yourself.
Safe and very quiet, except in the high season July/August not recommended!!!

Makis and Maria take very good care of the students and are very patient with them. The lessons are very well structured and flexibly tailored to the students' needs. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The evening events enrich the interaction among the students and give you a deeper understanding of the local culture.

The welcome was warm and genuine. Maria and Maikis were excellent teachers and consummate communicators. They were always thoroughly friendly and helpful. I learnt a huge amount in a short time period.

Course: Intensive Course - 1 week
Student age: 65 years
We had lessons together for the first two days, then individual lessons from the third day onwards, especially as I didn't get on so well with the learning method without phonetics for individual letters, words and whole sentences at first, as I was used to this from other foreign languages in previous years.
Makis and Maria then offered me individual lessons from the third day onwards. This allowed me to learn in a much more relaxed manner, and I made faster and better progress than in the days before.
Although I found it difficult to get started with Greek at first, by the end I was able to use a few simple, short phrases.
In the evenings, we all got together (with people from the other courses, some of which were running at the same time) in a lovely kafenion, which helped us get to know each other better.
On the evening of the first day, we were all able to watch how soap is made naturally.
All in all, it was a wonderful week! I'd love to come back!
The course was also perfectly organized in advance - highly recommended!

I can summarize the whole experience as wonderful. Makis and Maria are first of all very nice people, but in addition they taught with a lot of passion. I can only recommend them!
