What our students said about Corfu
Kerkyra is a big city in the context of the Greek islands. I have a two-month stay here, and deliberately chose a town with enough permanent residents that everything doesn't close down when the season is over. I live in an apartment on one of the busiest streets here and have everything within walking distance. Traffic and parking is a big problem, so crossing the street is one of the most dangerous things you can do. Apart from that, it's a lovely, vibrant city with lots of friendly people. The old town is more or less car-free, but with all the more tourists. There are good bus connections within Kerkyra town and to other parts of the island.
The island is subject to mass tourism, with lots of rubbish on the beaches.
It's a beautiful city, with lots to see, and it's very rich in culture.

I had booked the course "Greek in a week" as 20 hours of classroom instruction, but since I was the only student, I got 15 hours of 1:1 instruction instead. The teacher Anna was fantastic, funny and inspiring. The teaching was varied and included many practical exercises. The homework was relevant, and the answers were always reviewed the next day.
