Located just three hours by train from London, and less than two from Edinburgh, Durham is home to England's most beautiful Romanesque cathedral, a huge castle, and surrounding them both is a cobweb of hilly, picturesque cobbled streets. Here you can find and explore botanical gardens, mazes and museums exhibiting artefacts from Asia, Egypt and the Middle East. The University here is the third top third level education institution in England (after Oxford and Cambridge) and is full of upper-crust students attending England's third university of choice.
