Why Bury St Edmunds? Bury is a historic market town and civil parish in the St Edmundsbury district in Suffolk, England. Located in and surrounded by the beautiful countryside its a relatively secluded town known for brewing and malting and for a British Sugar processing factory. The town is the cultural centre for West Suffolk and tourism plays a major role in its economy. As it was a centre of pilgrimage for centuries, it has a rich history and features a ruined abbey, numerous handsome Georgian architecture and many tranquil gardens.
