Venue: Almost directly south of London, the town of Eastbourne has been known as a seaside resort since the Georgian era and the area around Eastbourne has been settled since the Stone Age. Twin’s Eastbourne Summer Centre is located in Compton Park, in an 18th-century English mansion with beautifully landscaped grounds complete with tennis courts, football pitch, sports hall, basketball court, library, and study centre. Attractions in the surrounding area include the Seven Sisters Country Park, Beachy Head, and the Eastbourne Pier.
Summer Programmes: The Eastbourne Summer Centre provides English language classes combined with activities to children and teens from around the world. With different options for activities and excursions, these residential summer camps allow students to discover the area while improving their language skills and making friends. Students reside in the main school building and take their meals in the on-site dining hall. Sports and activities are also held on the school grounds.
Excursions: Students choose in advance how many excursions they will attend when they select their programme. In each two-week session, there are a minimum of 2 full-day and 2 half-day excursions to destinations such as: Brighton, London, Lewes, Canterbury, and Hastings.
Getting there: The closest airports to Twin’s Junior Summer Centre in Eastbourne are London Gatwick (LGW), which is one hour and ten minutes away by car, and London Heathrow (LHR), an hour and forty-five minutes away.
