Location: Português et Cetera is located in Lisbon’s historic centre, in a pedestrian street with many shops and businesses. It is situated right in between the Baixa-Chiado metro station and the Rossio metro & train stations, less than a 5 minute walk from either making it easy to travel to and from the school and to visit other Lisbon’s monuments which you can’t reach as quickly on foot. Within walking distance you can find many attractions: Carmo Square, home to the Santa Just Lift, is only a block away; the Castelo de São Jorge is a 20 minutes’ walk; and you can arrive at the Praça do Comércio on the waterfront and Cais das Colunas in 10 minutes.
Community: At Português et Cetera students become part of the community; providing students with a sense of belonging is a core value for school staff. They organise themed events and extracurricular meetings every week where students can interact with locals and other like-minded global travellers.
Courses: Português et Cetera is certified by the Portuguese Government. The school has been teaching Portuguese in Lisbon since 2005. Their experienced teachers offer Intensive, Extensive, and Private language courses year round as well as specialised courses for business, specific purposes, Brazilian Portuguese and summer adult programmes.

“Classes in English. I already speak English. I wanted everything in Portuguese. What if you don't speak English? Very slow system, or outdated maybe.”
School's reply: I'm only replying now because I didn't know these reviews could have a reply.There was no complain made to us (teacher or staff) about how the classes went. it was an absolute beginners' class so of course some students need some support in english. At the end the student asked for a certificate and sent us a reply thanking for everything and see you next time, that she'd love to come back and couldn't wait to come back, so this review is surprising.- Ana Rita, staff
