School identity and location: Linguaschools Granada is a small boutique-style Spanish school for adult learners and part of the Linguaschools Spanish language school network. The school is located in old-town Granada, one of Spain’s most historic university cities, with easy access to local cafés, shops, plazas, cultural sites and daily city life.
School atmosphere and facilities: The Granada school has a personal and familiar atmosphere, making it a good option for students who prefer a smaller Spanish school environment in a walkable Andalusian city. The school has a private terrace where students can relax, study, meet classmates and enjoy the local climate between lessons.
Courses and teaching approach: The school offers intensive Spanish courses for different levels and study durations, from short stays to longer-term study. Course options include general Spanish, DELE/SIELE exam preparation, private lessons, university pathway options, Spanish for 50+, and Spanish combined with flamenco dance or flamenco guitar. Classes are taught in small groups by qualified native Spanish-speaking teachers using a communicative Spanish immersion method, with teachers adapting the pace and classroom focus to the level and goals of each group.
Student life and getting around: Linguaschools Granada organises a year-round cultural activity programme for adult students, helping them discover local culture, historic neighbourhoods, tapas traditions, flamenco, local events and Andalusian daily life beyond the classroom. Accommodation options such as shared apartments and host families are available within walking distance of the school, usually up to approximately 15 minutes on foot, depending on the option and availability. Granada’s walkable city centre makes it easy for students to explore the city before and after class.

“Planned trip around dates for 50 plus program and paid extra but there wasn’t a program. Limited activities and as a beginner difficult as all in Spanish. For a beginner level the content didn’t include anything useful such as going to restaurant, shopping public transport etc. This is the same as CLIC. The structure of each 2-hour teaching block being taught by different teachers would be fine except each teacher didn’t seem to have coordinated with the other about content and on several occasions they covered the same content on the same day. Would prefer more conversation classes with much more of student speaking.”

I want to have it emailed. I had three private lessons and then became a little more acquainted with that teacher, but all three teachers were super good at giving positive feedback.”

"My room is right next to the elevator, and for the first few days, I kept waking up to the loud noise. For about a month, there was no hot water, and even after I complained several times, nothing was done to fix it.

"I wanted shared apartment so that I can make friends and hangout with people who has similar language goal as mine. I never stayed apartment with its owner and did not even hear about this kind of accommodation. It was quite awkward. Especially on host's days off (includes weekends), my host stayed in the house all day long. Also Whenever I go into the kitchen, I feel like I'm being monitored for no reason.
I felt uncomfortable whenever I cook and the host turn my room light off when I went to Kitchen (to save electricity).
I did not use washing machine much and most of laundry was done by hand wash.
The host was good person though. But it was really uncomfortable. I really wished to live with other students.
If host is living in a same accommodation, school should let student know. It was very uncomfortable 4 weeks of my life and I do not wish to go back ever.

"The accommodation at 8 Avenue de Italia was very poor and not fit for 4 students at a time. Very poor kitchen facilities with broken drain where water has to be collected in buckets. Everything is very old from tv to microwaves. Broken showers and blocked drain. Basically this place in my opinion is not fit for students to live there for the cost per week

“We will inform you of the exact time to be at the school on your booking confirmation. If you are not an absolute beginner in Spanish, you will first make a Spanish test. Based on this test you will be placed in a group suitable to your level.”

Does the school close on Bank Holidays?
“Yes, all Linguaschools centers close on official holidays. When there is a holiday, there are no classes. Missed group lessons are usually not made up for, but this depends per school. If there are 2 holidays in one week, there is always at least 1 day made up for during the rest of the week.”
