Location: This school is situated in the city of Berkeley, across the bridge from San Francisco. The city is known for housing the University of California, Berkeley, which is practically opposite the school. The building rests in the Downtown neighbourhood, which is a lively area with bars, shops, theatres and restaurants scattered throughout.

Public transportation: Berkeley has a well connected public transportation system. The school is right on the corner of a fork divide in a busy street, with lots of bus routes to choose from. There is a direct subway service to San Francisco from Downtown Berkeley Train Station, a short walk from the school. This line runs from the north to the south of Berkeley, and down to its neighbouring city, Oakland.

Things to do: The school is overlooked by the Claremont Canyon Regional Preserve. Here students can go on hiking trails or visit attractions around the area such as the University of California Botanical Garden or The Greek Amphitheatre. To visit Alcatraz and the other sights in San Francisco, students can cross the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge and arrive in the larger of the cities.

This Semi-Intensive English course consists of the General English course combined with 7 lessons of online teacher-led study sessions totalling 27 lessons per week. The content focuses on reading, writing, listening, conversation, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation through an integrated skills approach.
