Location: ILSC Language School is within Downtown Montreal. This neighbourhood is in the heart of the city, and is a blend of office blocks, shopping options and student hangouts. The school itself is on the edge of Downtown Montreal, close to restaurants, stores and cafes.
Getting around: A short walk from the school are a selection of bus stations that stretch across the city. The McGill Metro Station is the closest one to the school, less than 5 minutes by foot. This is on the Line One metro service. ILSC Language School is a 13-walk from the Gare Centrale Train Station, which is the main station of the city.
Schools proximity to attractions in Montreal: The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is in Downtown Montreal, 13 minutes by foot from where the school is located. The Old Montreal neighbourhood is home to other popular features of the city including the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal, Le Vieux Montréal and Montreal Museum of Archaeology and History.
Course structure: ILSC Language school in Montreal offers classes in English and French. These are both full time and part time group courses, and cover the general use of the language in everyday settings. The school caters for private classes as well. There is a volunteer programme which combines group classes with a placement, depending on the chosen language. A University pathway package is available in English.

“Students can start the full time course any Monday. All levels are available. They will take a placement test and they will be placed with the right group according to their level. The minimum required age is 16 years. ”

I am a complete beginner in French and I would like to book the Pathway University Preparation. Does this programme require a minimum language level to enter?
“Yes, the minimum required language level to book the University Pathway Program is B2 - upper intermediate. As an alternative, you can book General French lessons until you reach the B2 level, and then you can switch programmes. Students taking this course get the language skills and academic abilities to be able to succeed in college or university.”
