Location: Spanish Language School Gran Canaria is located on the unique island of Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain. The school is housed over three buildings within walking distance of each other, between the port and the beach area. Las Palmas (Canteras) beach is only a few meters away from the school, in an area of the city ripe with restaurants, eateries, entertainment and shopping.
Social and cultural: The school offers several activities weekly, with excursions to some of the island's most brilliant sites also taking place regularly. Guided tours to Vegueta and the old colonial quarter of the city are also regularly given by the school's teachers.
School facilities: The school facilities include a library, seven classrooms, a computer room with internet access, a lounge area and a terrace.
Course selection: In addition to General Spanish taught over various schedules and intensities and available to students of all levels, the school also supplies private and semi-private tuition courses. Bildersurlaub programmes for various German federal states may also be available with Spanish Language School Gran Canaria.
Accommodation: Studio and shared flat facilities are available to be booked through the school.
Additional information: The year-round moderate to high temperatures on the island allows students to enjoy the location throughout the whole year.

"You should have some prior knowledge, despite the A1 beginners' course. This is not necessarily the fault of the teachers. Most participants (even in A1) have at least a solid basic understanding, but still take this course to learn the grammar properly, and the teachers adjust the level to the students' average level."

“The school is a bit run-down, despite its top location. Most of the chairs have some kind of damage. The lighting in the toilets does not work or is inadequate. Both the bathrooms and the classrooms are very cramped.”
Quality of teaching / language progress: You should have some prior knowledge, despite the A1 beginners' course. This is not necessarily the fault of the teachers. Most participants (even in A1) have at least a solid basic understanding, but still take this course to learn the grammar properly, and the teachers adjust the level to the students' average level.

The Studio Flat apartments offered by the academy are 9 in total and have been designed with the intention of housing two people. This is self-catering accommodation, and you’ll be able to easily take care of your own meals thanks to the well-equipped kitchens that form a part of every apartment, including: a toaster, fridge, microwave, cutlery, coffee machine, cooking hobs, and a kettle.
You won’t have your rest disturbed easily due to the studios’ sound-insulating windows, and you’ll have your own bathroom, a television, and WiFi to use whenever you need it.
Bed linens and pillows are provided, as well as towels. Please anticipate the room cleaning service every 8 or 9 days, but also note that this service does not include cleaning the kitchen.
The reservation of an accommodation is made by means of a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total amount. The payment for accommodation is made for full weeks starting on Saturday or Sunday at 14:00. The accommodation must be vacated on Saturday or Sunday before 10:00.
