Venue: First English Global College is located in the City of Lapu-Lapu, on Mactan Island in the Philippines. The City of Lapu-Lapu is highly urbanised, and is one of the seven cities which make up Metro Cebu, the main urban centre in the province of Cebu. First English Global College is situated outside of the main urban centre of Lapu-Lapu in the resort area of Mactan Newtown, on the north-east side of the island. Mactan Island is a coral island making it a popular destination for scuba divers and snorkellers. Travel time from the school to Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB) is an easy 20-minute drive.
The School: First English Global College is an English language school whose curriculum is specially designed for Japanese students of English. The school uses original textbooks and at times some class material or parts of a lesson may be in Japanese. They offer intensive residential programmes for students of all ages where group lessons are combined with one-to-one private classes. From the age of 4, children can join in the studies and the school offers a babysitting service for babies and toddlers so that their parents can focus on studying.
Course selection: Students from age 13 and up who enroll with First English Global College can choose one of their combination courses (group and individual lessons) or to have a full day or half day schedule of private lessons. Business English and Preparation courses for the TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, EIKEN exams are also available. Children from ages 4 to 12 can participate in the Kids ESL / Kids Eiken programme.
Accommodation: Accommodation is made easy at First English Global College, as their courses are also available as course plus accommodation packages. Families can choose to stay together in one of the First English Global College Condominiums which also have options for single, double or triple rooms.
School facilities: First English Global College offers facilities that regularly receive excellent feedback from students. These facilities include air conditioning in all classrooms, a cafeteria, a garden, a lounge area and free Wi-Fi.

- Generally, course material has to be purchased by all students at the school. Course material costs are approximately $35 per month.

Meals:- Breakfast is provided free of charge to students on residential programmes.
- Students can request optional weekly Bento Boxes (mainly Japanese food) for lunch or dinner OR lunch and dinner. These will be brought to them at the school and are only available for students. They are to be requested in advance and are non-refundable:
PHP 2500 per week : one meal (lunch or dinner);
PHP 5000 per week: two meals (lunch and dinner).
Baby Sitting service for children under 4: PHP 5000 per week (available weekdays 7:30 to 17:30).
Airport pick-up Cost for pick up or departure: PHP 1500 (one way). Pick-up is available on Sundays after 14:00. For earlier arrivals, the previous night fee will be charged. There is no pick-up service for students on day courses.
VISA Extension services are available through the school and are subject to varying additional charges dependent on a students projected length of stay.
FEGC Facility Pass for Non-Enrolled Companions:
A Facility Pass is now required for all accompanying parents/companions not enrolled in lessons for security.
Applicable Clients (Must be informed in advance):
- Parent not taking lessons in Family Study Abroad.
- Only preschool children taking. lessons in Commuter Program.
- Companion using facilities while staying in the condo only.
Cost (Weekly / Cash on-site): - Adults/Children (3+): 1,000 pesos
- Children (2 and under): 500 pesos
The fee only applies if the companion actually uses the school facilities beyond non-chargeable entry times (breakfast, orientation, ceremonies). If a parent waits in their condo room during lessons, no fee is charged.
The term Man-Man is used to describe private, one-to-one lessons.
First Day Orientation
On the first day of arrival, students participate in a two-hour orientation session. During this session, school policies are explained, passports are collected, ID photos are taken, and information is provided regarding currency exchange, laundry, and nearby facilities. Japanese staff are available to assist students with currency exchange if needed. Short-term lessons begin on Mondays.
Counselling System
Counselling sessions are conducted twice a week by Japanese staff. Students are welcome to discuss any lifestyle-related concerns or requests for class changes.
(*Requests for class changes must be submitted by Wednesday and will take effect the following week.)
About breakfast and lunch
A complimentary breakfast is served every morning.
The school also offers fresh salads that are difficult to find locally.
For lunch, the school orders bento boxes from a Japanese restaurant, so you can enjoy Japanese flavours while you're there.
