What we like about the school
- Located in a 20th-century Mediterranean villa surrounded by gardens with lemon trees.
- One of the oldest Spanish schools in Malaga founded in 1965
- Electronic whiteboards in all classrooms.
What we dislike about the school
- Older students should consider that the average age of students at the school is significantly younger than at most other schools.
- Class time is shorter than in other schools at 40 minutes per lesson.
- Additional costs of course material of approx. 70 € per course level
Location: EF International Language Center Malaga is located in the historic Spanish city of Malaga, in southern Spain. The birthplace of Spanish artist Pablo Picasso, Malaga offers students a fantastic base for studying along the Costa del Sol. The school is housed in a 20th-century villa-style property, with its very own garden and lemon trees, within walking distance of many of the city's attractions and the beautiful beaches of the Playas Del Palo, which are just around the corner. Close by there are restaurants and supermarkets, with the centre of Malaga and attractions such as the Picasso Museum only a 23-minute train ride away. Malaga International Airport is within an 80-minute journey of the school via train.
Accreditations and Associations: EF Malaga is accredited by EAQUALS and the Instituto Cervantes for its excellence in language education.
School facilities: The school offers facilities complete to give students of all ages a unique and pleasant experience in Malaga. The facilities include a cafeteria, lounge area, outdoor garden, a computer lab, games room and a student support desk for any questions or queries that arise. Each classroom is equipped with air conditioning, heating and ample natural light to create an optimal learning environment.

This programme offers the best results of all the school’s options, not only thanks to the high number of study hours but also because a large portion of time is spent speaking in Spanish with your classmates. Additionally, with the Intensive course, you will receive 10 of EF’s Special Interest Classes, which allow you to choose the study topic.
One feature that makes EF stand out is that every 5 weeks they will ask you to complete a new placement test, in order to measure your progress. This is because they are confident that with 6 weeks of study in which you complete every assignment, you will be able to advance one course level.

- Generally, course material has to be purchased by all students at the school. The costs of course material will be approximately €70 per course level.

The cost of course materials vary depending on the duration of the course:
- 1-9 weeks: EUR 70
- 10-18 weeks: EUR 125
- 19-24 weeks: EUR 165
- 25-30 weeks: EUR 205
- 31-36 weeks: EUR 245
Cancellation Protection fee: EUR 85 (Non-refundable).
Students must book travel insurance, which covers the whole period of the course and stay in Malaga. Students can book Erika Insurance Coverage via the school: - Two weeks: EUR 85.
- Per additional extra week: EUR 40.
Students can have another insurance but they must prove they have booked another one.
Accommodation: - The twin room homestay included in the tuition price can be upgraded to a single room homestay for EUR 50 per week.
- Homestays are no further than 45 minutes by public transportation from school.
- Residence accommodation is also available upon request and subject to availability.
Special dietary requirements will cost EUR 50 per week.
Classes are likely to take place on some days in the morning and other days in the afternoon. Students will be given the exact timetable closer to the start date. These are sample times and lessons will fall within the time frames stated depending on availability and time of year.

- Individual classes
- Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 120 €. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.
