Location: Centre of English Studies (CES) - Summer Centre Leeds is located in the student-friendly and culturally rich city of Leeds, England. Housed in the Swarthmore Education Centre in the city centre, the school has many amenities, services, shops, eateries and attractions of social and cultural interest within walking distance. The school is roughly a 20-minute taxi from Leeds Bradford Airport and a 60-minute journey from Manchester International Airport.
Course selection: These summer programmes are suitable for students aged 12-17 years and are inclusive of afternoon and evening activities and weekend excursions.
Activities may include debates, recreational sports, project work, debates, games and more. Free climbing, bouldering, lazer-zone and trampolining may also be readily available.
Excursions and trips may include tours of Leeds, Kirkstall Abbey, York, The Jorvik Viking Museum, Skipton Castle and the White Scar Caves.
School facilities: The school facilities include a dance hall, cafeteria, and a garden terrace. It is also close to the university sports facilities and within a 15-minute walk of the city centre.
Accommodation: All accommodation is in Homestays with local families. The families have been carefully chosen and visited by the school. Three meals per day are supplied (breakfast, packed lunch, dinner). All homestay families are generally no more than 40 minutes from the school via public transport.
