Why Noosa? Noosa is the Sunshine Coast's golden child and one of Australia's most fashionable resort towns. Known for its heavy surf, Sunshine Beach is backed by cafes, boutiques and canal-side villas but there is a healthy inter-mingling of urbanites, surfer dudes and beach bums drawn to the beach and bush. Its low-rise centre melts away into pristine subtropical rain-forest and crystalline waters and a coastal trail runs north and is home to wild koalas in Noosa’s National Park which is teeming with many other types of wildlife. The town is actually located in the Noosa Biosphere Reserve which is a Unesco-recognised area famous for its highly diverse ecosystem.
