A very beautiful city with many parks, large and small ponds, lots of trees and green spaces – and, last but not least, the Baltic Sea nearby!
I'm not really a city person. But I find Kaliningrad particularly fascinating because of its geographical location and history.
I wanted to go to Kaliningrad to see, how it might differ from other Russian cities. In my opinion it is a normal city.

The intensive course proved to be the ideal one-to-one tuition. A friendly and positive atmosphere. A professional teacher with an excellent knowledge of Russian literature and culture. The teacher was patient and adapted well to my progress.
The school provided excellent support with practical matters relating to my stay and arranged a lovely flat for me.
Kaliningrad is a lovely place with picturesque spots, a beach not far away, cultural attractions and restaurants.
My teacher could speak English and Spanish. It may be different with other teachers at the school. I had deliberately looked for a non-German environment so I wouldn’t end up in a class where everyone was speaking German nonstop.

The placement test at the beginning of the course was very helpful in selecting the appropriate learning level. In my case, it resulted in me receiving 40 hours of one-to-one tuition from two lovely young ladies. Ideal, really, but quite a challenge for me (aged 68).
