Location: TLCdénia Languages is located in Denia, Spain. Situated in the heart of the Valencian region of Spain, on the beautiful Costa Blanca, the school is very close to the bus station, main commercial streets and is only a 20-minute walk from the beach. Local attractions, such as the Denia Castle, can also be found within a 10-minute walk of the school's front doors.

School facilities: Equipped with excellent facilities including a cafeteria, computer lab, lounge area and student support desk, TLCdénia offers students a well-rounded approach to studies. All classrooms have electronic whiteboards, heating, air conditioning and ample sunlight, creating the optimal working environment for all.

Course selection: Courses with TLCdénia are extensive, with something available for students of all levels. General courses take place starting every Monday along with the school's DELE Preparation programmes. Junior and Teen Summer courses are readily available throughout the summer months, as well as Spanish courses for families, with much-enjoyed activities for the whole family.

Accommodation: The school has a range of accommodation facilities at its disposal. Homestay, Apartments and Shared Flats are available throughout the year.

Accreditations and Associations: With over 35 years of experience, TLCdénia is a very experienced school that offers something for the whole family and is also part of the Spanish Federation of Association of Schools for Spanish for Foreigners FEDELE.

“The school isn't very big, so it was really easy to get to know the other students, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It felt a bit like a "big family." I'm very satisfied.”
Quality of teaching / language progress: The program had a smooth and natural progression. The teachers were skilled and friendly, making the lessons both fun and educational. I also feel that we gained insight into Spanish society and daily life through the lessons. I am very satisfied with the quality and level of the program.
Other comments: I felt like they were there to make things easier and really make sure the students were doing well. A very friendly and nice school.

“The classrooms are quite small, and one of them is very dark (no natural light). During the second week with instructor Paula, she spent quite a bit of time focusing on the other student during relatively long one-on-one conversations that I couldn't really follow.”

Quality of teaching / language progress: I signed up for 20 hours over two weeks, but I only received 16 hours. I won't be addressing this separately.
Other comments: Everything else was well organized, with a pleasant atmosphere and good classes. I might take some online classes in the future.

“I would have liked more activities and a What's App student group, to get to know other students, but I understand this was during covid and there were fewer students.”
Quality of teaching / language progress: Great course but I didn't know anyone so wandered around most of the time on my own. I would have preferred to have studied full-time for two reasons: one, so I don't have to stay longer paying more for accommodation (I could do the whole month course in 2 weeks if it was full-time) and because I didn't know other students I was lonely and would have enjoyed a busy day at school.
Other comments: I loved the school, the teaching and the staff. I would have much preferred to do the Beginner's course full-time. I had two English friends in the UK who didn't come to Denia with me because they could only get 2 weeks off work in the UK and didn't think 3 hours in the morning was enough, so they went to Malaga and did a full-time course instead. I went to Denia because I was told the average age was 60 and being 63 I liked that.

"I stayed in a shared apartment for one week and with a host family for another week. Both accommodations were a bit basic in terms of amenities. Still, it was a fun and enriching way to get to know others, and not least to gain insight into the daily life of an ordinary family. In addition, it’s of course also a great opportunity to practice the language. Both the apartment and the host family were within walking distance and centrally located relative to the school, which I really liked.
