Venue: The Escuela Internacional San Sebastian Junior Centre is located in the Antiguo neighbourhood, a quiet area in the western end of the city, home to private schools, university and higher education buildings, and the Elizbarrutiko seminary. San Sebastián, or Donostia in the Basque language, is a coastal city rich in history and tradition, famous for its culinary art. The school is less than 15 minutes on foot from the two main beaches in the city: Ondarreta and La Concha. The surrounding area has a lot of green space and there is a tranquil, landscaped park, Zubimusu, not far from the school.
Junior programmes: The school offers Summer Programmes for international and national students, divided into three age groups: Kids (6-9 years), Teens (10-13 years) and Juniors (14-17 years). Available in Spanish or English, students can participate in just the language classes, in the day camp, or in the residential programme. A Springtime programme, with optional host family accommodation, is also available for Junior students at the school’s main location in the city centre.
Teaching facilities: Classes for these programmes are mainly held in the school’s secondary location: a modern building which, throughout most of the academic year, is dedicated to teaching English and French language lessons to local residents.
