Location: Located in the culturally rich city of Preston, Lancashire, northern England, Preston Academy of English is well situated to offer students a balance of study and cultural attractions. The school is housed in the city centre, within walking distance of many amenities such as public transport, eateries, social events and museums. Attractions and places of interest nearby include the Preston central bus station, the St John's Shopping Centre, Harris Museum, Art Gallery & Library, and Avenham and Miller Park.
Course selection: The school offers courses suitable for students of all levels, including a specific programme for beginners. In addition to General English programmes over various schedules and intensities, Exam Preparation for the IELTS, Trinity and OET exams are also readily available throughout the year. Preston Academy of English also supplies "Ladies only" General English programmes and "Skills focus" courses to improve writing, reading, listening and speaking abilities. One-to-One, private tuition, is also available independently or in conjunction with any other programme.
Getting around: Preston bus station is a 350m walk from the school's front doors, with the Preston train station only a 900m walk from the school. The city centre, its shops and amusements are all within walking distance. Both Manchester and Liverpool are within a 1-hour train journey of Preston.
