What we dislike about the school
- Younger students should consider that the average age of students at this school is significantly higher than at most other schools.
Location: L'Accademia is located in the centre of the fascinating city of Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy. A city famed for its Art Nouveau architecture and several monuments, Cagliari has much to offer students. L'Accademia is in an excellent position to help, situated just a short walk from the Cagliari Cathedral, the Bastione Sant Remy, many shops, restaurants and more. Students have all they need to enjoy Cagliari and the surrounding areas whilst studying with L'Accademia.
Methodology: The school is a keen promoter of the Montessori teaching methods. Small group sizes are key to this method, ensuring that all students get the individual attention necessary to unlock their true learning potential. The school's friendly and passionate atmosphere is highlighted through the dedication and respect shown to each student and their individuality.
Social and Cultural: Extracurricular activities are available and featured within the teaching plans of the students. Activities include tours of the city with an accompanying teacher and guide, movie nights, dinner at a pizzeria and more. Excursions to local historical sites, beaches and museums take place regularly.
Accommodation: The school offers accommodation in shared apartments with local Italians and can assist with arranging accommodation in B&B or hotels, depending on the preference of the student.
Additional information: Cagliari and the island of Sardinia are places of much beauty, with spectacular beaches, rocky hills and mountains all around.

More variety with a bit of reading and listening in between to promote discussion and to practise the grammar would make it more varied. Fede was a lovely lady but I could not always follow her quiet and fast explanations. It would have been nice to have a change of teacher for the last hour of conversation.”
