Location: La Calle Merida is a Spanish language institute located in the culturally rich capital city of the Mexican state of Yucatan, Merida. The school is housed in the city centre and has eateries, bars, restaurants, parks, plazas and links to public transport nearby. Attractions and sites of interest within walking distance of the school include the Palacio de la Musica, the Plaza Principal de Merida, the Museum of the City of Merida, the Jose Peon Contreras Theatre, and more.
Course selection: La Calle Merida supplies General Spanish programmes over various schedules for students of all levels. In addition, private Spanish tuition is also available independently or in conjunction with any other programme.
School facilities: The school facilities include a cafeteria, a garden, and free Wi-Fi. All classrooms have ample natural light to create an optimal learning environment. La Calle Merida also has wheelchair access to the classrooms, cafeteria, toilet and reception area.
Accommodation: La Calle Merida offers accommodation in homestays with local families. The accommodation is on a first-come-first-served basis, where the school shall issue the hosts closest to the school first. Most homestay options are in the centre of Merida or within a 25-minute journey via public transport.
Social and cultural: Merida has a rich Mayan and colonial heritage. Sites and places of interest include the Plaza Grande, the Mayan World Museum of Merida, Merida Cathedral and the Merida Zoo. The Chichen Itza archaeological site is within 5km of the school's front doors.

They tailor lessons to the students individual needs while making learning fun and accessible. I’m shocked at how much I learned in 2 weeks. “Your host has agreed to spend at least one hour per day with you, Monday through Friday, to help you practice your Spanish. After you've settled in, you can work together to schedule this hour based on what works best for both of you. Maybe you'll decide to have breakfast or dinner together, or simply chat during the afternoon. It's important to remember that your host has work obligations as well, so the schedule will need to be adjusted accordingly.”
