Location: Inlingua Como is located in the Italian city of Como, on the southern tip of Lake Como, in northern Italy. The school is housed within the historic city centre, in safe surroundings, where students have access to shops, restaurants, cafes and various attractions. Sites of interest within walking distance of the school include the Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta - Duomo di Como, the Basilica di San Fedele, Tempio Voltiano and the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium.
Getting around: The school is within a 5-minute walk of the Como ferry terminal, offering access to boat trips around Lake Como, which can include stops in destinations such as the Bellagio, Varenna and Tremezzo. There are also several bus routes surrounding the school, ensuring trips inland can be made with ease. Inlingua Como is a short 11-minute walk from Como San Giovanni train station, permitting long and short distance trips to neighbouring towns, cities and countries. Bike and scooter rentals are also available within walking distance of the school.
Course selection: Inlingua Como provides Italian courses to students of all levels. In addition to General Italian, taught over various schedules and intensities, students can take Exam Preparation courses for the CELI Exams. Programmes for learning English, Spanish, German, French, Russian and Modern Greek are also available.

“Unfortunately, 2 different language teachers were appointed at very short notice due to capacity bottlenecks. One teacher (Elisa) was great for 3 out of 5 days of lessons. Unfortunately the only highlight.”
“The organisation and preparation of the school was inadequate. The textbook was provided as a PDF file two days before the lesson, but the book was flawed (incorrectly compiled, parts were missing). A printout was only handed out on the second day, but this was also incorrectly compiled. Even the teachers were unable to work with it and therefore took homework/exercises from their own textbooks.
The second teacher basically just guided us through the exercises in the textbook, but otherwise was not very good at conveying the content.
I had expected much more from this class. It was only thanks to Elisa (one of the two teachers) that I was able to learn something new and take something away with me. The problem seems to me to lie in the poor organisation of the inlingua Como school. In addition, the classroom was a very small room that could only comfortably seat three people.”

“This school is terrible at communicating with the students. I have done 4 immersion programmes previously, not one bad thing to say about any of those. This one - I had to ask multiple time what time my class would be, had to ask if there were any activities, had to ask if they knew I had enrolled, had to ask if they received the placement test I took on their website. Had to wait until I got there to sign up for their activities. I asked about 3, they could only offer me one. So I signed up for the cooking class which she told me was a lovely experience. She gave me the address. When I arrived, I realized it was in a big apartment building and I had no apartment number or host name. It was a nightmare.”
