Location: Go abroad China (GAC) is located in the culturally rich and diverse city of Beijing. The school is located in the Changping district of Beijing with excellent links to public transportation. There are supermarkets and restaurants close by, with the spectacular Baifuquan Park also within walking distance.
Social and Cultural: As the capital city of China, Beijing is steeped in history, with every street corner offering the prospect of travelling to early imperial times, more than 3000 years ago, all the way to the most modern of Chinese cities and culture. GAC Beijing offers students a great opportunity to further their studies of Chinese whilst also promoting Chinese culture through their many excursions and activities.
Course selection: GAC offers students the opportunity to study both long term and short term courses, with something suitable for students of all levels. Along with their Chinese courses in small groups, they also offer Chinese at University, private lessons, HSK preparation courses, GAC Volunteer, GAC Elective Workshops and GAC Activities & Excursions programmes.
School facilities: The school's facilities are extensive, including a cafeteria, restaurant, fridge and microwave use, an auditorium, movie room, garden, library, computer lab, free after-class access to language learning software and much more, making sure that students have the most comfortable and productive time whilst in Beijing. All classrooms are also equipped with electronic whiteboards and have ample amounts of natural light, ensuring an optimal study environment.

As a beginner studying Chinese in Beijing from February to July 2025, this program has truly transformed my life! The small-class setting allows teachers to tailor courses to my pace, and interactive games on smart whiteboards make memorizing Chinese characters incredibly fun. Weekend trips to the Summer Palace and Nanluoguxiang were highlights—learning "(classical)" while sketching pavilion roofs, then practicing ordering noodles in Chinese at local eateries. The prices are surprisingly affordable for such high-quality teaching!
In class, teachers use homemade dumplings and other Chinese dishes as teaching aids, letting us taste them after lessons. They also provide targeted training for our weak points in language learning. From a complete novice, I’ve become someone who can confidently use Chinese.
As a foreign student with zero Chinese foundation, the learning experience here has far exceeded my expectations! In small classes, teachers always adapt to my pace. Multimedia courseware and interactive games make Chinese characters no longer boring, and the daily dialogue scenarios in the latest textbooks are extremely practical~ When visiting the Great Wall on weekends, I learned the word "magnificent" while standing on the city wall with teachers. The bilingual tours of the Forbidden City helped me understand the cultural meanings behind idioms through historical stories of antiques. I remember when I first struggled with tones, my teacher drew gesture diagrams to help me correct them. Here, I’ve not only learned authentic Chinese but also felt the warmth of a family—every class is full of surprises!- Individual classes
