Location: GAIA Institute is located on La Maddalena Island, north of Sardinia, in the Province of Sassari, Italy. Housed in La Maddalena's historic centre, in a distinguished building known as Palazzo Grondona, the school is situated in front of the island's main port. There are shops, restaurants and supermarkets, all within walking distance of the school, ensuring students are in a great place to enjoy the island to it's fullest.
Course selection: GAIA Institute's Italian Language & Culture programmes are available to students of all levels, throughout the whole year.
School facilities: The school's facilities include a cafeteria, balcony, movie room and free WI-Fi. All classrooms have air-conditioning and ample natural light, ensuring an optimal learning environment.
Accommodation: In terms of accommodation, GAIA Institute works with many partners, offering a variety of options best suited to the needs of each student.
Additional information: The school is very unique in that it originated through a collaboration of the Parco Nazionale dell'Arcipelago di la Maddalena and The Universidad de Monterrey (Udem) Mexico. With this in mind, along with their Italian courses, the school also offers multiple courses in Architecture, Landscape and Urbanism, as well as in Italian Language & Culture.
Additional services and extracurricular activities are also available, including transfer services from the airport, marine life experiences with whales and dolphins, as well as Diving & Winery experiences.

Quality of teaching / language progress: I had private tuition which wasn't ideal for me, and only 2 hours in the mornings.
Other comments: For me it would have been helpful if the explanations had sometimes also been given in English or German.
