Location: Future Learning Summer School is located on the campus of University of Galway. It is to the North of Galway in a quiet neighbourhood with a smattering of cafes and accommodation options. The university rests on the edge of the River Corrib, opposite Terryland Castle and just down from Jordan’s island.
Getting around: It is around 15 minutes by foot from Future Learning Summer School to the centre of Galway. There are also a number of bus routes that will take you to the heart of the city. The Galway Train Station is a 20-minute walk or 12 minute bus ride from University campus, and from here students can explore the surrounding area.
Courses: The summer programme combines English learning with STEAM afternoon workshops. Students will delve into electronics, science, baking, robotics, photography, art, drama and music.
Special quality: The course is always planned around the Galway International Art Festival which runs throughout July. There are a number of exhibitions and performances that take place around Galway for students to enjoy.
Chain: Future Learning has adult and junior courses in England, UK and Ireland. The school was established in 2013 in Dublin Ireland, and branched out to England, UK in 2016. Technology is a running theme throughout the courses, as the team at Future Learning integrates digital media projects into the learning to help advance communication skills.
