Location: EF International Language Center Auckland is located in the vibrant and easygoing metropolis of Auckland, New Zealand. Famed for its nature, beauty and breathtaking scenery, Auckland offers students a unique place to further their language studies. EF Auckland is housed in the city centre, on a modern campus, a few minutes' walk from Queen Street, the Wynyard Quarter and Waitemata Harbor. There are shops, restaurants, cafés and multiple attractions, such as the Sky Tower and the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki close by. Students of EF Auckland can create many memorable moments whilst achieving their language goals. Auckland Airport is within a 70-minute journey of the school via public transport.

School facilities: The school's facilities are exemplary, offering students of all ages all they may need to reach their language goals in a comfortable and friendly environment. These facilities include a cafeteria, modern state-of-the-art classrooms with the latest technology, a computer lab, lounge area, table games and a Student Support Desk for any questions or queries that may arise. Course selection: EF Auckland is open to students of all levels and ages at various times throughout the year. For adults, several programmes take place the whole year round, whilst junior immersive or day programmes are available through the summer months.

Auckland is New Zealand’s busiest and most modern city, and offers a blend of stunning beaches and urban living that many students love. The Intensive English course from EF Auckland represents their most time-demanding course, at 32 classes per week, but is also the school’s most popular course due to the undeniable results that they produce with their students.

The methodology used in their classrooms is general in character and aims to develop all language skills, ranging from formal aspects such as grammar to more informal abilities such as correct use of phrasal verbs and the subtleties of correct pronunciation. The Intensive course is most commonly taken by those who are applying for academic or professional opportunities, but it can be taken by anybody who is determined to take their English to the next level.

This option includes ten Special Interest Lessons, which are classes specifically tailored to any subject of your choosing. EF promises that with 6 weeks of dedicated and earnest study on this course, you will be able to go up by one-course level.

Generally, course material has to be purchased by all students at the school. The costs of course material will be approximately €45 per course level.
Comments about courses

The cost of course materials vary depending on the duration of the course:

  • 1-6 weeks: EUR 45
  • 7-12 weeks: EUR 80
  • 13-18 weeks: EUR 120
  • 19-24 weeks: EUR 160
  • 25-30 weeks: EUR 200
  • 31-36 weeks: EUR 240

    Cancellation Protection fee: EUR 85 (Non-refundable).

    Students must book travel insurance, which covers the whole period of the course and stay in Auckland. Students can book Erika Insurance Coverage via the school:
  • Two weeks: EUR 85.
  • Per additional extra week: EUR 40.
    Students can have another insurance but they must prove they have booked another one.

    Accommodation:
  • The twin room homestay included in the tuition price can be upgraded to a single room homestay for EUR 55 per week.
  • Homestays are no further than 45 minutes by public transportation from school.
  • Residence accommodation is also available upon request and subject to availability.

    Special dietary requirements will cost EUR 50 per week.
Individual classes
Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 120 €. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.

On the most picturesque private farmland you can visit the Hobbiton Movie Set from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies in a fascinating two-hour guided tour. The set has been completely rebuilt for The Hobbit and will remain as it was seen in these films and The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.

Discovery Pack - Rotorua, Taupo, Waitomo Weekend Trip - (DCP2AUC)
3-day trip. The school's most action packed excursion.
