Location: Bede's Summer School Lancing is located in the large coastal village of Lancing, West Sussex, England. Housed in Lancing College, an independent boarding school dating back to the 1900s, set on expensive grounds in the countryside within the South Downs of West Sussex. London is within a two-hour journey of the school via public transport.
Accommodation: Accommodation is on campus, with one campus for boys and the other for girls. Most bedrooms are for 1-2 bedrooms and come with shared bathrooms. Some larger bedrooms are also available. Most boarding houses have communal social spaces for students to enjoy and spend time getting to know their peers whilst speaking English.
Social and cultural: These programmes are ripe with daily activities and several excursions per week.
Afternoon and evening activities at Bede's Summer School Lancing can include cooking, swimming, dance, drama, talent shows, messy games, mini Olympics, karaoke, treasure hunts and much more.
Excursions included in the programmes can include London, Arundel Castle, Brighton Sea Life, Leeds Castle, Dover Castle, Thorpe Park, Greenwich and Canterbury.
School facilities: School facilities include an art studio, astroturf football pitches, a basketball court, a cafe, a college shop, a dance studio, a drama theatre, an equestrian centre, an iconic chapel, playing fields, a sports hall, squash courts, a swimming pool, tennis courts, and free WIFI.
