Venue: ATC Language Schools Summer Centre-Maynooth University is located on the campus of one of Ireland’s largest HEIs, the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, or simply, Maynooth University. The extensive campus is divided into two parts, north and south, buildings in the southern half are traditional 18th century while on the north campus buildings are ultra modern. Maynooth, in County Kildare, is Ireland’s only university town, since all other universities are located in or near large cities. Maynooth and the surrounding area is home to many sites of historical interest, including Carton House and Maynooth Castle. Travel time to Dublin Airport (DUB) is approximately 50 minutes.
ATC Projects: In addition to the weekly programme of General English classes and 21st Century Skills workshops, ATC Projects organises a social programme for students with a strong emphasis on personal development. Themed sessions for the different age groups are held each week, these deal with relevant topics such as digital identity, cybersecurity, social media and its impact on students.
Daily Life: Students stay in ensuite rooms with shared living space, in apartment style residences on campus, and all meals are provided on site or as packed lunches for excursions. ATC Summer Centre at Maynooth University organises a full programme of activities; half- and full-day excursions to Dublin and nearby attractions; and holds workshops with themes like Vlogging and Interactive Drama.
