What we dislike about the school
- Older students should consider that the average age of students at the school is significantly younger than at most other schools.
Location: Woldingham School, a 19th century boarding school, is close to the North Downs, on the southern outskirts of London. It is right in the heart of the English countryside, surrounded by open fields and outdoor space.
Facilities: The school has a number of sports facilities including an indoor sports centre, sports fields, tennis courts and plenty of outdoor space. The building has interactive whiteboards in all classrooms, a student lounge and wifi throughout.
Course structure: The school has standard classes of 20 lessons per week or and intensive course of 25 English classes per week. It is also possible to add 5 private lessons per week to either course.
Accommodation: Students will be staying on site in single bedrooms, which are equipped with a desk, chair, wardrobe and a lamp. The bathroom is shared at an average ratio of 1:5. There is a dining room that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through to Friday and on the weekends lunch is changed to a packed lunch.
Excursions: The package includes excursions to nearby places of interest, particularly England’s capital city, London. A quick 30-minute journey on the train from Alpadia Summer Camp and students are in central London. The school organises visits to the city to explore a number of attractions including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Harrods, Greenwich Park and South Bank.
