Location: Academia Barbate is a Spanish language school located in the coastal town of Barbate, Cadiz, Spain. The school is at the very centre of the fishermen's town of Barbate, which is full of tradition and history, nestled between the towns of Conil, Vejer de la Frontera and Tarifa. Because of this, the area is renowned for its environment and has a vast stretch of beautiful beaches, many cliffs, and pine forests nearby. Local attractions include the Parque Natural de La Breña and Marismas de Barbate. Surrounding the school there are several local eateries, supermarkets and shops, whilst the beach is only a 14-minute walk away.
Course selection: Academia Barbate offers a range of Spanish courses suitable for students of all levels. In addition to General Spanish, taught over various schedules and intensities, immersive junior programmes are available during the summer months, and private tuition is available all year round. The school also supplies tuition for learning several other languages, including English, French, German, Italian and Polish.
Social and Cultural: Academia Barbate offers daily cultural activities, including hiking through the national parks, beach sports, flamenco, visits to historical landmarks and popular points of interest in and around the city, Spanish gastronomy and more. The school also regularly arranges language exchanges amongst students, offering a fantastic opportunity to get to know others and learn about different cultures.
