"Well! I wouldn't go there just for the sake of the city. But that's just my opinion."

"Unfortunately, the dinner arrangement didn't work out. As a result, I had hardly any opportunity to practise the language at the accommodation either. That was a shame. This shortcoming was partly compensated for by the fact that I was able to use the kitchen and cook my own meals. If I were to stay there again, I would choose the same accommodation and book an extra hour of conversation lessons at the school each day. Just a tip for others."

"The school is in a very nice location. The size of the classes was very pleasant. You got a new teacher every week. They all had different characters, but they were all really nice and cool. At the beginning, it wasn't easy to listen to and speak Portuguese for 4 hours. But after a while, you got used to it."

"In the first week we went to the Fado Museum. That was very interesting. From the second week on, the director was on holiday and unfortunately there were no more afternoon activities. I would have wished that this would have been continued anyway."

"Overall, I found all the staff to be very friendly, personable, open-minded, helpful and dynamic. The two teachers who taught me during the time were very well trained and had a very good general knowledge. They helped to break down barriers in speaking with their uncomplicated manner."

"The classrooms are very small, so no more than 8 pupils should get a place. Usually, however, there were 9 to 10, so that spare chairs with backrests were really "squeezed in". All in all, the whole area was cramped and there were no facilities such as a library or quiet room as stated on the school's homepage.
There was a lack of interactive phases in the lessons and overall I would have liked more space for speaking, reading and practising pronunciation. On several days, there was (too) much writing, especially grammar, which I found a shame given the precious time. The teachers talked a lot and it was predominantly classic frontal teaching."

"Lisbon has a special soul and it can be found in every corner through the countless "pastelaria" and "jardim" with kiosks and seating options....Simply beautiful and cosy. The city is a mass of contrasts and offers so much to discover! I am thrilled!"

"I saw my host family very rarely, for the most part I was alone and took care of the cat. My host mother was trying, but not present. However, I was allowed to use the entire appartment, which was of course a luxury, given this beautiful large old flat."
