"Accommodation and dining were decent, though lacking in variety."

"An excessive concentration of French speakers—around a third of the summer camp participants. No effort made to mix nationalities in the rooms.
English classes: the level was unsuitable for my son. A request to change classes was accepted via email but not implemented for the second week, and there was no response to my final message. One morning of classes was cancelled by Maltalingua due to accommodation issues for some students. Why weren't classes held for the others?
Leisure activities were repetitive over the two-week stay and rather low-quality. Poor organization, involving long waits for buses in the Maltese sun."

"Unfortunately, I waited two days to change my group because I was classified in a level too high. The reception claimed that there were no places available in other groups. It was only on the third day that I succeeded. On the other hand, in the second week the teacher was not very involved, she did not correct mistakes, she was unable to explain topics well, we did not understand what she was saying. She was not very involved and did not engage the group enough, especially as there were only Poles and Czechs in the group. A big mistake - creating a group that speaks one language....The last day there was another teacher - a wonderful Kwestii who saved the honour of the school"

"The atmosphere is generally good, but varies greatly in the classroom depending on the teacher. The school is easy to reach, some classrooms are quite well equipped. There is a roof terrace and a small pool. I liked the range of excursions offered during my week."
Negative aspects
"Some teachers are overwhelmed, especially with grammar and writing, others with critical or questioning statements. Others make the lessons boring and dry. My second main criticism: The assessments at the beginning did not match the knowledge of the students in many cases, so that many of us ended up in the wrong courses and had to change, which was also the case for me. Some classrooms are poorly equipped, e.g. without desks or too small, or people are constantly walking through. Some teachers can't cope with the modern blackboards."

"The apartment was not cleaned. The cupboards, including the fridge, were full of old, expired food. There were not enough seats for the number of residents. For the use of the AC in the communal areas you have to pay extra per use. The apartments are located on a very busy and therefore very noisy street. The single room is very small and, unlike the other rooms, has no seating and no desk."

"All teachers tried very hard and some of them were very competent. Those who pursue an effective teaching goal should book an intensive course for at least 8 to 10 weeks. I had booked an intensive course from Oct. to Nov. 2020 and during this time we didn't have a single "outdoor activity", but once a week an "afternoon activity" in the school building in the form of an additional 1 hour Indian "pronunciation" or intensive course conversation training was offered! In my opinion, these lessons were not designed to be particularly challenging, at least absolutely not suitable for students from level B1 upwards. I found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful with the exception of the cafeteria owner, who offers delicious, cheap and freshly prepared snacks on the roof of the school!
I`ve had many experiences of different English language schools in England and in Malta and to compare them I`d highly recommend this school in Malta because of many reasons....
However in spite of some uncomfortable situations of the Pandemic I`d say I had a really good time there :)"

"The scenery around the small harbour basin is very pretty. Lots of hustle and bustle. Lots of restaurants, bars and shops. But it's also a bit exhausting. The traffic is a pain in the arse through the narrow harbour road. The pavements are so narrow that you can hardly get past each other. More for young people than for families with children."
