"Private lessons and classroom teachers are good."
Negative aspects
"After school, the children always spoke English among themselves. They even spoke Turkish among themselves. I emailed to warn them, but nothing changed. We sent them there to improve their German, but their English improved instead. I will never go back there again. I would not recommend it to anyone. If it weren't for Tania, the teacher, they would have left as soon as they arrived. She gives private lessons anyway. I paid extra for that."

"1. The teacher spoke English and didn't care that some students don't speak English well. And in the German course you want to hear German, so you learn more words. 2. The course was for 13-16 year olds, yet there was an 8 year old student in the class. 3. From about 11:15h the teacher only played memory games, but not in German either. The course was very poor for the money we paid. 4. The students were not asked to work in groups so that they could speak more and get to know each other better. 5. Although I got an A1 in the placement test, I had to start from 0. The school didn't have a suitable course, although they advertised it."

Negative aspects
"The school has no good teaching method. They teach using the same techniques that were used over 50 years ago. There is no pedagogy and each lesson is about ideas, not language. Some of the exercises were helpful, but most were not really. I doubt that any students will advance in these classes. I could have learned three times as much just by staying home and watching good YouTube language videos by a good instructor."

"Was twice at premium courses. Both times the teachers gave what I needed. Each has its own pros and cons in teaching: the first time they devoted a lot of time to speaking (!), And the second time they hardly spoke, they just listened to the teachers and sorted out the grammar. Replacing teachers (at the time of the absence of the main one) did not suit me at all, especially Klaus (time and money down the drain). She took private lessons from Korina. I was very pleased !!! It is also not clear by what criteria the test is conducted at the end of the course. They give so little time that there is no time for reflection and correction ... Only you have time to read the assignment (((Well, of course, a low test score is not a reason not to transfer the student to the next course. This may only be recommended!"
Accommodation
"Very high audibility. If the noise in the corridor becomes silent by night, then the external noise is 24 hours a day (especially terrible in the summer with the windows open !!!). The fact is that there is a railway station on one side of the campus (it is especially terrible at night in the summer!), And on the other, the Flixbus bus station. If in winter you can close the windows and bearable, then in the summer due to the lack of air conditioning and fans in the room it is impossible to close the windows and sleep is also almost impossible in such a noise. Another nuisance: these are silverfish (similar to wood lice) that crawl out of the shower when the lights are turned off and even crawl along the walls into the kitchen. I couldn’t walk barefoot at night. Yes, and the fruit had to be removed from the table for the night. I don’t know how to whom, but to me - disgusting ((("

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
"It is important to prepare the level test beforehand because 30 test questions is not really enough to truly evaluate your level and you could end up in a level which is too easy for you Even if your German was rusty, in a couple of days you would be back to speed and it's a waste to be in a class where you are not learning anything. If this happens, make sure to request that they move you up."

"The courses don't really start on Monday as announced but new students are placed in long-term courses which have been going on for months. In my group, there were people who had been in that course up to a couple of months.
Also, possibly due to the summer period, the teachers changed several times. One for standard lessons, one purely for grammar and another for conversation. This is actually an advantage, because each teacher has a methodology and an accent and different aspects of the language are perceived."

"The school has several buildings in different parts of the centre. The main one is good but if they send you to Römerkreis, it is super noisy due to the traffic and trams oustside. "What I liked least was my teacher, OLGA. While she knew her subject thoroughly and was herself energetic, she was moody, rude, lacked patience and treated anyone not 'up to speed' (most of us) as stupid, like kids in a Junior High. I realise with an intensive course there is a lot of material to get through, but Olga seemed more interested in telling the class about herself and her opinions, than ensuring that the students understood the material. She did not make it 'fun'. She is the least favourite of any German language teacher I've ever had."

There is a lot of confusion in the corridors and it's hard to figure out where you should go, especially for people like me, who go to study alone, without a travel companion. I also had difficulty to find the school itself because there were few signs in the street. There are a lot of students in the secretariat. Also in the afternoon it is easy that the lesson gets moved to another classroom in different buildings. Positive aspects of school
"Due to a small class, we have many opportunities to speak during a lesson. Also it's easy to make friends. Private lessons are very concentrated and economical. The school organize the daily activities and one-day trip to the suburbs. Students from all over the world add to the diversity of the school."
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
"The style of German lesson is very speedy. You need to practice one after another and are asked to speak or answer during a lesson。Therefore, I recommend you to prepare well before a course starts or join a beginner class. Also I can suggest to take the private lessons which can help you to cover your weak points."
