Positive aspects of school
"Small group. Son felt comfortable with the other kids. My goal of letting him face English on his own at 9 almost 10 years old was achieved."
Negative aspects
"Booking, lack of transparency overall: location (school move, I was interested in the school in March), which is very important when going for the first time:
1.change of location
2.the first time, the price list was not clear, only the consultant explained (did not speak about the change of location)"

City/place
"There is too much construction going on at the moment, Malta is a bit of a building site, too many morning traffic jams, public transport and the weekly pass are very nice - minus the fact that the buses sometimes don't let passengers in when they are too full (we were late for school once because 4 buses didn't let us in), no good pavements for pedestrians, not enough lanes where you can cross the street safely with your children.
As for the climate, I will return to Malta at another time of the year and I would like these courses to be available then too, e.g. during the Polish winter holidays.
Shopping: Good opening hours of shops, also at weekends - important for visitors to Malta, downside I couldn't find a shop in the centre with a larger selection of fresh food: vegetables, fruit (I didn't have a car to drive to a larger supermarket), I like markets where you have contact with people/vendors."

"The proposed tours should take into account the interests of the students, i.e. young people under 18 are only interested in going to the beach, so a tour with such young people does not make much sense."

"Good and ambitious teachers, Alex was especially great! We only had a small class, so the price is totally justified. I think the costs for registration and materials are very high."
Negative aspects
"Learning English with a mask. Teachers use a lot of exercises on copies. The purchase of the book for 40 Euros, which we only used once, does not make sense to me."

"Chamber College`s administration was poor, particularly in accommodation.
I suffered with a lot of noise in my first apartment. I heard that many students suffered from same thing, but staff didn`t seem to be dealing with the problem eagerly. It would be a good idea to lay a heavy penalty on students who often make a lot of noise."

"I can tell you what I didn't like: WIFI connection was a disaster, overloaded, it switched off continuously and didn't work everywhere. Depending on the room there were different connections and you had to constantly change them - a catastrophe.the breaks were too short. You had to cue for food and then lunchbreak was over. I was there in off-season otherwise it would be worse. Better you bring food from home. Food choices were very poor. Water and coffee cost extra money although advertised as free, like other schools offer it!! I can't really compare but I wouldn't book the course again .. to be without WIFI especially when you need it at school is unthinkable .."

"You should inform yourself in advance about the host family, how many members and how old they are, what their English is like and how much time there is to speak English with them."

"I would never again choose accommodation in a host family, if you don't know previously with whom and where and don't know the age of the family. I stayed with a very nice retired lady. Everything was clean, food was OK .. but I didn't speak as much English as it was praised. I think it is better to stay at a boarding house or hostel with all the other students .. there you talk more what is needed .."

"The school was very helpful in organizational moments, they helped to navigate around the city and gave a free safe for storing documents. All of them were really friendly :) + I liked the level of teaching and the fact that the groups consisted of different nationalities, so there was no temptation to speak our native languages. I really liked the school! They are very responsible in teaching and student success."
